Funding the Future: How to Raise Money from Angel Investors

Slater and the Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship co-hosted a lively panel discussion on angel investing at Brown University’s Carmichael Hall. Thorne Sparkman moderated the discussion with panelists Deb Kemper of Golden Seeds and the Clean Energy Venture Group, David Hemenway of the New York Angels, and Bob Place of Clean Energy Venture Group and Idea-to-Impact Advisor at the Office of Industry Engagement and Commercial Venturing at Brown University. The speakers shared their experiences as active angel investors, and gave practical advice about how to approach organized networks of individual investors, and how the networks differ from other sources from risk capital, and even from each other.
